Their hand-poured soy candles are subtle and evocative. After harvesting, the soya beans are cleaned, cracked, de-hulled and rolled into flakes. The oil is extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated. The great advantage of soy is that it is completely renewable, eco-friendly and carbon-friendly - no petrol-carbon soot like you get from petroleum-based paraffin candles. The candles burn slowly and cleanly compared with paraffin. Soy-wax based candles blow slower with means that you can enjoy the candle 30%-50% longer than a paraffin candle. The 170ml (6oz) candles will last 40hrs. The non-GMO eco wax and the self-trimming cotton wicks ensure a clean burn and excellent scent throw. All the scents used by Earl of East are created using bespoke blends of the finest botanical fragrances and essential oils and presented in dark amber apothecary jars.
